Jim's Really Cool Computer
Here is the specs on my current computer setup.
I'm a quadriplegic, paralyzed from the neck down. I access the computer by using a pneumatic (air) switch to sip and puff morse codes. It is connected to the computer using the Adap2U Keyboard Emulator System. This allows me to enter keyboard commands, move the mouse and click the mouse buttons completely hands-free.
I can watch basic cable TV channels throught the WinTV-PVR-500 tuner and digital cable channels through the composite video input. With the USB-UIRT I can control IR equipment (i.e. VCR, digital cable receiver and stereo) and watch on-demand programs.
I now have 2 computers networked and use a KVM+audio switch to operate both. Customization options with computers such as the Lenovo.com Notebook have evolved but always be sure to find a computer that best suites your needs no matter what they are.
