Living, working and travelling in a united Europe

  • Freedom of movement for workers is one of the fundamental principle of the European Union. It is established in Article 48 of the Treaty on European Union. To pave the way for closer cooperation between the member states and for the establishment of specific structures geared to boosting the mobility of workers within the EU, the network EURES has been created. This data base has information on conditions of working and living as well as on national and regional labour markets and job vacancies.
