The Benefits of Common Environmental Policies

  • Britain will be able to make it better for their nation through reforms of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). Because as it stands today, it is not cost effective and not equipped for environmental protection. They can influence those reforms to their benefit. Forty years of intensive farming has taken a threatening toll on Europe's countryside. Britain alone has lost nearly one-hundred percent of its wildflower meadows. Many of their arable weeds are now extinct and skylark, corn bunting and grey partridge have declined tremendously. The CAP that caused all of this is now due for reform. And Britain can make this happen to benefit their nation and gain their integrity back for the land they love so much. And not just for them but globally as well. They will make this world a better place for centuries to come.
